Kincraig Castle is situated just outside Invergordon.
If driving from the South, follow the A9 North at Perth and you cannot miss it - just stay on the same road for approximately 3 hours and you will be there!
If driving from South of the border, we recommend taking the M6 North and then following the M74 towards Glasgow. Then cut across on the M80 to the M9 before joining the A9. Watch out for the average speed cameras between Perth and Inverness; rumour has it they're not switched on but I can't vouch for this!
If you'd prefer not to drive, you can fly into Inverness Airport from most major airports in England, including Luton and Manchester. From the airport you can take a shuttle bus into Inverness or book a hire car in advance. Getting around in the Highlands is definitely easier with a car, but Fiona's family are on hand to assist as much as possible with lifts or directions, or even food, if needed!
You can also catch a train; there are regular trains from Edinburgh/Perth to Inverness but the best one is the daily London Kings Cross to Inverness train which calls at York - catching this train means you travel in comfort for the duration of the 7 and a half hour journey north.
Our reception venue is around a 30 minute drive from the church. If you need assistance with getting between the two, please speak to either of us as there will be plenty of people driving on the day. Also, if you need to get back to Inverness after the reception, we can help with this too.
